What does 09 hold for us? A tough year. We start off by competing in a friendly next week against Sweden - most likely with our MLS based players only. Then in February we start the next round of World Cup qualifying against Mexico - but in OH since they don't like the cold. This summer we will hit up the Confederations Cup in South Africa which is a prelim to the World Cup next summer. There we will play Egypt, Brazil and Italy. Can you say - OMG. But I would rather we play them in the Confederations Cup than the World Cup! By sometime this summer, we should have qualified as one of the three spots to go to the World Cup - let's just hope we take the top spot in order to get a good seed. Right around the Confederations Cup we will take a group of MLSers to the Gold Cup.
It will be quite the busy year! But I can't wait! I will be busy watching the games from the comfort of my own home while wearing my new Michael Bradley US jersey - Christmas compliments from the hubby. Isn't he so supportive. :)
